Washington, D.C., June 1, 2017 The Insights Association has launched a sophisticated new online system through which all participants in the Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) program may easily manage their activity. The new system automatically tracks all aspects of an individual PRC’s account, including continuing education credits which expire on a rolling basis. Detailed account status can now be reported and managed in real time. A longstanding and respected industry credential previously managed by MRA and now a major initiative of the Insights Association, the PRC credential highlights a marketing research and analytics professional’s awareness of the highest ethics and standards, a commitment to remaining abreast of new techniques and technologies, and is an objective measure of knowledge and proficiency. During its soft launch at the Insights Association’s NEXT Conference, May 9-10 in New York, the new continuing education credit tracking and management system received enthusiastic praise. “Thanks to the Insights Association for making it so easy to apply for and track my PRC credit hours at NEXT,” said Rick Seale, PRC, Executive Vice President at Bethesda, MD-based Shugoll Research. “As I would finish each session, all I had to do was click on the PRC credit link included in the conference mobile app to log the credit in my account. It couldn’t have been easier.” Paulette Brown, PRC, Senior Business Analyst at the Institute of Management Accountants, based in Montvale, NJ, also was impressed. “During the NEXT conference I was able to click on the session I attended and my credits were instantly added to my account,” she said. “Now I don’t have to wonder how many credits I have or if I’ve received credit for a conference session or webinar. They’re now available in real time.” “The new tracking for PRC credits at NEXT was a great improvement,” agreed David Kennedy, PRC, Principal at Denver-based Corona Insights. “The whole process is simple, easy – far more so than in the past. I look forward to seeing PRC continue to evolve under the new Insights Association!” There’s never been a better time to begin or resume involvement in the PRC program, according to David Almy, CEO of the Insights Association. “We have an extensive slate of weekly webinars planned for the remainder of this year, many webinars are available on demand through our website and we have exciting new conferences on the way – this fall and several more which will debut in 2018,” said Almy, noting that all Association programs qualify for PRC credit. Credits also may be earned for attendance at past CASRO and MRA conferences and webinars and via agreements with AAPOR, PMRG, and certain college programs, including MRII – University of Georgia. Almy explained that the association invested in this new tracking system to ease the administrative burden on PRC participants, and make it more fun. “Our goal is to significantly grow enrollment in the PRC program. Investing in technology will help us get there,” he said. “Company leaders tell us that the program engages and motivates their researchers and the individuals actively involved in PRC consider it an important, distinguishing credential that bolsters their standing in the profession as well as enhancing their performance for their employer,” Almy continued. “This is an important program for all in the marketing research community in the U.S. and around the world as it encourages continuous learning and a commitment to integrity.”
