NEW YORK – July 3rd 2018 – The Global Research Business Network (GRBN) and EphMRA, the global association of pharmaceutical and healthcare researchers and insights professionals, today announce that EphMRA has joined the Global Research Business Network as the first Associate Member. Up until early this year, only regional federations and their national association members have been eligible for GRBN membership. The GRBN Board recognized the limitations of this membership structure, as there are a number of associations, such as industry or methodology-based associations, which do not fit the national/regional association model, and therefore were unfortunately ineligible for membership. By changing the statutes to create an Associate Member class, GRBN is able to include these other associations into the network, for the benefit of both the associate members, and their members, as well as the national and regional association members, and their members, and is delighted to have EphMRa join the network as the first Associate Member. Elissa Molloy, GRBN Chair, comments: “On behalf of the 45 GRBN research associations across the globe, I am very pleased to welcome EphMRA into the GRBN network as our first associate member.  EphMRA is a well-established association that sets professional standards and practices market research in the field of health and healthcare which aligns well with the GRBN objective to promote international standards and self-regulation. Our new associate membership category will allow GRBN members the opportunity to network, share and learn from an even larger international community of research businesses and professionals dedicated to the best interests of our sector.” Karsten Trautmann, Merck KGaA, EphMRA President, adds: “By being part of the GRBN it will enable EphMRA to form strategic connections with other Associations and thus to enhance its offering to its members. Being well connected across Associations is key to success in our healthcare market business intelligence industry as keeping up to date and ahead of the curve is vital for any Association. Delighted to be the first Associate Member!” ———————————————————– About GRBN (www.grbn.org) The Global Research Business Network connects 45 research associations and over 3500 research businesses on six continents.
